The Minnesota Transfer Curriculum (MnTC) has 10 goal areas. To ensure you are satisfying the requirements of MnTC, meet with your academic advisor prior to registering for classes.

- MnTC Goal Area 1: Communications

Goal: To develop writers and speakers who use the English language effectively and who read, write, speak and listen critically. There are three options to fulfill the goal depending on testing placement and educational goals. Please work with your advisor to find the appropriate option for you.

Goal: To develop thinkers who are able to unify factual, creative, rational and value-sensitive modes of thought. This goal will be satisfied by completing one course each from MnTC Goal Areas 1, 3, 4, 5 and 6.

Goal: To improve students’ understanding of natural science principles and of the methods of scientific inquiry. Students are encouraged to study both the biological and physical sciences.
