All students who have met one of the tuition and fee payment requirements and are registered for at least one Ridgewater credit may charge their books at the on-campus bookstore on either campus or online.

Financial aid pending or no financial aid awarded

• Book charging starts each semester approximately two weeks before classes start and will end on the fifth day of the semester.
• Students may charge up to $1,000 for required books and classroom kits (clothing and food are not included). If you have any questions about specific supplies, please talk to the bookstore.
• Students may use up to $50 of the $1,000 to purchase a backpack or school supplies.
• The cost of the items charged will be added to your Ridgewater student account and must be paid either by financial aid funds or personal resources according to normal Business Services Office payment deadlines.

Financial aid awarded

• Students may use their financial aid overage (total award – tuition cost = financial aid overage) to charge required books and classroom kits (clothing and food are not included). If you have any questions about specific supplies, please talk to the bookstore.

• Students who have less than $1,000 of financial aid overage may charge up to $1,000.
• The cost of the items charged will be added to your Ridgewater student account and must be paid either by financial aid funds or personal resources according to normal Business Services Office payment deadlines.
