The Ridgewater Cares/Unrestricted Fund provides us with flexibility and allows us to support areas of greatest need as they arise. These funds can be used to support student emergency grants, food pantries, campus programs, scholarships and more!  Without this support, we cannot offer essential resources to students in need.

The Ridgewater Cares Emergency Fund assists students in urgent financial situations who might otherwise miss class or drop out completely. Last minute scholarships can be offered to help students who would have had to put their education on hold because they simply couldn’t afford it. And unrestricted funds make it possible to provide small grants to faculty & staff for special projects and initiatives that improve student experiences. 

While many students continue to be recognized for their hard work and achievements through our scholarship awards, we still turn away over half of our applicants due to insufficient funding.  Your donations to Ridgewater Cares or General Scholarships help fill this gap and allow us to create more awards in the areas that need it most so more students can be reached and recognized.
