FERPA
A federal law, FERPA affords parents the right to have access to their children’s education records, the right to seek to have the records amended, and the right to have some control over the disclosure of personally identifiable information from the education records. When a student becomes 18, the rights transfer from parents to the student.
Authorization to Release Student Information
In order to release academic or financial information to a parent or spouse, students must fill out the authorization to release student information form. The form is also required to give an individual access to pay your bill.
