Admissions Criteria
Students who want to take courses with the College in the Schools must meet the same eligibility requirements as our PSEO program. Students must connect with their high school counselor regarding participation and the application process. If a student enrolls in College in the Schools and later decides to enroll in the PSEO program, the student will need to complete the PSEO application and work with their high school before the May 30th PSEO notification deadline.
Application Deadlines
- May 1 – classes starting in August/September
- December 1 – classes starting in January
Classes starting on a trimester or quarter schedule will have an adjusted application due date based on the start date.
Students should work with their high school guidance counselor before filling out the Concurrent Enrollment application. Students who want to take these classes for high school credit only are not permitted.
Completed applications require a current transcript and a signature from the high school counselor. Only completed applications will be processed.
Placement Assessment
Some applicants may need to take the Accuplacer assessment to determine their eligibility for courses. Students will be notified if they need to take the Accuplacer. Please see the Accuplacer page for requirements, practice tests, and Accuplacer appointments.
For students at high schools more than 45 miles away from our campuses, remote testing can be arranged.
