Workforce Development Scholarships
Students in eligible programs may qualify for Workforce Development Scholarships of $2500.00 each at Ridgewater College. These scholarships are for students pursuing degrees in these nine high-demand career areas: advanced manufacturing, agriculture, automotive trades/transportation, education, early childhood education, health care services, public safety, construction, and information technology.
The Ridgewater College Foundation universal online scholarship application works for ALL scholarships including Workforce Development Scholarships! The link to apply is available on the Ridgewater Scholarships page. The deadline for applications is June 1.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a Minnesota resident
- Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher
- Accepted to Ridgewater College for the upcoming fall semester (PSEO students are not eligible)
- Must have an active StarID and password at Ridgewater College
- Must be enrolled in at least 9 credits in a qualified program, listed below:
This scholarship is intended to be disbursed equally over Fall and Spring semester, $1,250 per semester, assuming the student completes no less than nine credits in an eligible program with a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA in the Fall and remains in good academic standing, per Satisfactory Academic Progress requirements. Students who elect to change from a qualified program to a non-qualified program OR who fail to meet the criteria will automatically forfeit the scholarship for one or more semesters. Any scholarship dollars that have been forfeited will be rewarded to new recipients as a one-time award for the coming Spring semester.
