Lactation Pods
The Lactation Pods are a private, clean, comfortable and easy-to-access space for nursing/breastfeeding mothers near a restroom. These pods are available to students, faculty, staff, and visitors. They are accessed via a mobile app, by smart phone using a QR code on the side of the pod, or by contacting Dean of Students Heidi Olson (320.222.5209 or [email protected]) for a code to enter the pod.
The inside has two bench seats, a drop-down medical-grade shelf/table, a fixed shelf, a mirror, coat/back pack/purse hooks, power, USB charging plug-ins, occupancy-activated lighting, ceiling fans and vents for clean air quality, etc. They are on the regular cleaning schedule.
The Willmar pod is located on the second floor of the Student Services building, in the a hallway (across from Room A246) near the food service area (highlighted in yellow on the map).
The Hutchinson pod is on the north end of the main campus building (“behind” the administration suite) in a hallway that leads to Rooms 246 and 249 (highlighted in yellow on the map). It is just down the hall from the Commons and near a restroom.
