Why Give

You can make a difference in a life of a student!
There are many ways you can help students succeed on their educational journeys, including:
Scholarships
The Ridgewater College Foundation awards more than $250,000 annually in student scholarships. If you’re interested in assisting Ridgewater College students in their educational goals, you may want to consider establishing a named scholarship. Otherwise, donations to our General Scholarships fund are always needed. List of Ridgewater College Foundation Scholarship Funds.
Ridgewater Cares Fund
Through the Ridgewater Cares Fund, the Foundation helps students in crisis overcome obstacles to stay in college instead of dropping out.
Program support
Students need a vital, innovative curriculum. Funds to support new technology and equipment are critical to achieving this innovation and vitality. They also help faculty design new curriculum and new methodology.
Non-cash contributions
The Foundation accepts non-cash gifts in the form of machinery, equipment, and supplies for programs. These non-cash gifts provide significant cost savings to our program budgets, enhance curriculum and technology, and provide valuable learning opportunities for students.
Special projects and mini-grants
This fund supports innovation in the classroom to enhance the student learning process, resulting in a positive impact on our college community. It also provides much-needed funding to defray the costs of conferences, seminars, and other training and professional development for faculty and staff.
North Star Promise Scholarship Program
College doesn’t have to mean huge debt. Learn how to help Minnesota students and families receive free college tuition through North Star Promise. Visit here for more information.
Donor support is still crucial, bridging gaps for books, technology, and living costs. Unrestricted gifts also aid our programs and our basic needs initiatives, like the Warrior food pantry. We encourage donors to reach out to Ridgewater College Foundation staff to understand where their money can make the biggest impact.
