Your Ridgewater Experience
I chose Ridgewater design for its amazing Multi-Media Design program. When I entered the program I was instantly involved with real design projects with local events and businesses looking for design work. With those projects, I was able to grow my portfolio and start long-time business relationships with people. Ridgewater gave me a great start to my dream of becoming a graphic designer.
I chose Ridgewater for its Multi-Media Design program because it had a great opportunity to work with real clients.
Relationships with Faculty & Staff
I had a great connection with the staff and instructors. Ridgewater worked really close with its Multimedia Design students, involving their students in school events and designs. The instructors really included us in school and community events, giving us connections with the community and starting long-lasting designer-client relations.
I really enjoyed working with some of the local events and festivals. Having your design featured around the community was very motivating.
What is one thing you learned at Ridgewater College that has been most helpful to you since graduating?
It gave me the motivation to keep designing, always getting better. The connections and relationships made at Ridgewater has built my clientele and expanded it far beyond the classroom. Ridgewater has allowed me to check some design dreams off my list. I’m currently designing Labels for Mankato Brewery, a dream that started at Ridgewater College as a student.
