The Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion holds a variety of strategic initiatives for students, employees, and community members to elevate attention to diversity, foster equity-mindedness, and create an inclusive environment so that everyone knows that they truly belong at Ridgewater College and our surrounding communities.

Initiatives
Multicultural Calendar
Ridgewater is committed to celebrating the diverse experiences that our students, staff, and faculty bring to our college. The Multicultural Calendar highlights dates we will be celebrating this year with a variety of related programming.
Social Justice Speaker Series
Throughout the upcoming academic year, we will have a variety of social justice speakers and topics to help elevate attention to social justice issues.
Brave Space Discussion Groups
Faculty and Staff are invited to participate in a Brave Space Discussion Group. Brave Spaces differ from Safe Spaces in that they emphasize courage over safety, and discussions are centered around a variety of topics.
Safe Zone Trainings
Safe Zone Trainings are a training opportunity for faculty, staff, or students to learn more about how to create zones that are inclusive for LGBTQIA+ members.

Multicultural Student Advisory Board (MSAB)
The purpose of the Multicultural Student Advisory Board is to advise the College President, Executive Team, and College Cabinet on issues affecting the Ridgewater College community related to diversity, equity and inclusion from the viewpoint of multicultural students. In addition, the MSAB Advisory Board recommendations will help inform the college’s priorities, planning and budgeting processes.
