Ridgewater receives $20,000 grant from the Gene Haas Foundation

WILLMAR and HUTCHINSON, MN – Ridgewater has been awarded a $20,000 grant from the Gene Haas Foundation (GHF) as a grant to support scholarships. Scholarships will be awarded to students that are currently enrolled or will be enrolling in a CNC training program with an emphasis on CNC technology and designed for manufacturability.
Scholarship awards are up to $2,500 per student. The purpose of the funds is to encourage students to learn, operate, and understand CNC technology.
“Watching our students walk into the shop on day one and graduate two years later as skilled machinists is incredibly rewarding,” shared Machine Tool Technology Instructor Greg Ryder. “For the past decade, the Gene Haas Foundation has generously funded our program so we can split this financial boost among our hardworking students. This award gives our two-year students the extra momentum they need to focus on mastering their craft, finishing their degrees, and stepping into a great manufacturing career.”
