Why did you choose Ridgewater College? How did Ridgewater College impact your life?
After graduating with my GED, I knew I needed to go to college for something, anything that would set me on the path to having a stable life for me and my daughter. I chose the Marketing & Sales program because jobs were versatile and in demand. I chose Ridgewater because classes were flexible with working two jobs, being a single parent, and it was close to my home. My teachers were helpful and understanding of not just my situation but pushing and guiding all of the class in the right directions. We learned so much more than just material. We applied material to real-life scenarios, learning about our personality and work styles and how we can apply that in the real world. Understanding ourselves was a big piece in understanding how we tackle being successful and growing successful relationships both personal and professional. I am thankful that our teachers in the program went the extra mile to prepare us for real scenarios and not just focusing on material-based learning.

What are you doing now?
After graduating from SMSU with my BAS in business management and working as a business systems analyst for the last 6 years, I decided to take my small business knowledge from Ridgewater and SMSU and put it to the test. I started Consulitex, a consulting company.
