The Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion holds a variety of strategic initiates for students, employees, and community members to elevate attention to diversity, foster equity-mindedness, and create an inclusive environment so that everyone knows that they truly belong at Ridgewater College and in our surrounding communities.

Ridgewater is committed to celebrating the diverse experiences that our students, staff, and faculty bring to our college. The Multicultural Calendar highlights dates we will be celebrating this year with a variety of related programming.
Throughout the upcoming academic year, we will have a variety of social justice speakers and topics to help elevate attention to social justice issues.
Faculty and Staff are invited to participate in a Brave Space Discussion Group. Braves Spaces differ from Safe Spaces in that they emphasize courage over safety and discussion are centered around a variety of topics. The first discussion will be based off of Ijeoma Oluo’s book So You Want to Talk About Race?
Safe Zone Trainings are a training opportunity for faculty, staff, or students to learn more about how to create zones that are inclusive for LGBTQIA+ members. Training requests can be sent to [email protected]
Diversity Student Leadership is student-led programming that elevates attention to diversity, equity and inclusion. (Student Names and Info will be included)
The purpose of the Multicultural Student Advisory Board is to advise the College President, Executive Team, and College Cabinet on issues affecting the Ridgewater College community related to diversity, equity and inclusion from the viewpoint of multicultural students. In addition, the MSAB Advisory Board recommendations will help inform the college’s priorities, planning and budgeting processes.
