Automation/Electronics
This club is open to any Hutchinson campus student in a secondary preparatory course in trade, industrial, technical, and health education who is interested in automation/electronics as a hobby or a career.
Members learn about new technologies and how to apply them to everyday life. Learning in this fashion is fun and a little “geeky.” Members often take tours of companies and attend trade shows and conventions to further their knowledge of the industries.
Club Purpose
- Promote automation/electronics as promising career fields to prospective students, active students, and the public.
- Create an environment to learn about these careers by attending conferences and touring companies to gain professional knowledge.
- Encourage friendship and cooperation among present and past automation/electronics students.
The executive council, which meets several times a school year, consists of a president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer. The chapter is responsible for dues in correspondence with the number of members and conducts fundraisers for finances of the chapter.
