Ridgewater College – Social Media & Marketing Work Study
This position will assist the Marketing and Sales Management department with a variety of tasks focused on program development and brand building. Tasks will include marketing the program on Instagram and Facebook. Content will focus on career opportunities, graduate spotlights, student recruitment, and spotlighting course offerings. A review and update of the program’s website pages on Ridgewater.edu will also be part of the role. Research projects in competitor analysis, new class offerings, community connections, and small business development opportunities may also be explored as part of this position. Applicants should be reliable, organized, creative, hardworking, self-directed, and detail orientated.
This position will be working remotely:
- Basecamp, a project management application, will be used to schedule work and provide progress updates. It will also serve as a repository for all documents and files created by the student on behalf of the marketing and sales management program.
- Twice a month there will be a face-to-face Zoom meeting between the student employees and the supervisor (Derik). The meeting will have an agenda with new tasks to complete, who will complete the tasks, and due date of completion. The meeting will be an opportunity to review the employee’s performance and give the employee an opportunity to share how things are going for continuous improvement.
- Email or phone conversations can also be done as needed.
