Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Ridgewater College is seeking applicants for the full-time position of Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) to develop and manage initiatives, activities and events in support of our Equity 2030 commitment to eliminate all student success gaps by 2030. This position works directly with the President, meets regularly with the College’s Executive Team, and leads the DEI unit and Bias Incident Response Team for the College. Ridgewater has established a strong commitment to DEI principles and initiatives among faculty and staff and the College is developing a visible role as a DEI leader in the community. Job Summary
This position serves as the Campus Diversity Officer (CDO), collaborating in a team-based environment with faculty, staff, and administrators to develop community outreach, student success and employee retention strategies designed to increase engagement and success of under-represented populations. This position is also charged to develop and lead the College’s Equity 2030 strategies to develop diversity and equity initiatives and training to ensure an inclusive and equitable climate that provides genuine opportunity for participation and success to every student and employee. This position also manages and oversees the DEI unit for the College, which includes basic needs, disability services, international student advising and veteran services for the College and reports directly to the President of the College. This position maintains confidentiality of private information according to laws, rules and policies and procedures while working with sensitive personal information. The position requires the ability to travel (approximately 20% of time) and work some evenings and weekends as needed.
