Ridgewater College is holding an agricultural career fair and trade show for agricultural employers to recruit workers and showcase their products to the next generation of growers and agribusiness professionals.
The event will be held at the Ridgewater College’s Willmar Campus Gymnasium on Friday, December 1, 2017 from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. (The trade show will end at noon. Student job interviews and industry
presentations continue until 4:00 pm.) Agriculture industry companies will be able to:
Recruit highly trained technical agriculture students for employment.
Meet future customers and promote products to the next generation of farmers.
Present products and job opportunities in small group breakout sessions.
Approximately 200 Ridgewater College agribusiness and production agriculture students plus area high school students will be attending.

About the Program
Agronomy Technology is a two-year program that includes classroom, laboratory and internship for a total of 72 credits. This partnership agreement is designed to provide education to meet the needs of local Agriliance cooperatives in custom application, sales, service, and crop scouting.
In this program, students will receive:
The latest in precision agriculture
- State-of-the-art technical training
- Experience using custom application equipment
- Paid internship experience
Education for a high-demand career
Students interested in this program should have a genuine interest in employment as a custom applicator. Graduates will have a commercial applicator’s license, a CPR certificate, commercial driver’s license, and forklift certificate. Students may start the beginning of fall or spring semester with sponsor approval.
