Institutional Level Assessment

Institutional Level - Student Learning Outcomes

Ridgewater College's purpose is to provide quality educational experiences for diverse students by creating a student-centric learning environment that equips students to think critically and creatively and adapt to a rapidly changing world; to possess the capacity to embrace diversity; to utilize skills productively in the workforce; and to desire the pursuit of lifelong learning.

The College's mission and values are reflected in the four institutional-level, expected student learning outcomes that have been adapted by the College. They are: a) the ability to communicate effectively; b) to engage a diverse world of people, ideas and ways of life while demonstrating ethical behavior and social responsibility; c) to demonstrate critical, creative thinking, and problem solving skills; and, d) to have the knowledge and skill to effectively use state-of-the-art technology for career and personal success.
