Housing

Ridgewater does not maintain dormitory facilities on either campus. However, the Willmar and Hutchinson areas have adequate student housing and rental units. There are basically two kinds of housing available to fill single student and family needs.

Housing or apartments adjacent to the campus

  • Close to the campus
  • No car needed to get to classes
  • Shared apartment living with students
  • A housing list will be mailed to your home address upon request.

Apartment living away from campus

  • Apartments located in private homes or apartment complexes
  • Generally very cost effective
  • Need transportation to campus (car pooling, your own car, taxi, or local bus service)
  • A housing list will be mailed to your home address upon request.

Apartments range in price from $150-260 per month, per person. If you seek housing early in the summer, you will have a very good choice of apartments.

Please talk to Ridgewater College Student Services personnel and apartment landlords/managers to learn about housing opportunities. Rental lease agreements are usually required. Read these carefully before signing.

Please call either college if you have questions or concerns about student housing.
